I bet they are all too busy playing.
some are starting to post in here. Some might still be on their way home
Well it sure was fun! We had 4 guys and 9 gals! Lots of chatter! We really thank Bob Kelly who came with his tools to help us with any mechanical issues our machines might have had, but most of the old girls ( the MACHINES, not us quilters) did great at stitching away.
We celebrated 2 birthdays, with three cakes! And Sandy fixed an excellent lunch of Italian soup, garlic bread and fresh veggies and dip!
Ron Doan sewed with us in the morning, then Jenny joined him and had lunch with us. After lunch, Ron and Al Navas were working on Electric Quilt 7, and several of the group were working on the Missouri Star block.
We talked a bit about things we wanted to do at the Fall Forum retreat. Look for updates in the group section for details, but not til after I get home tomorrow night!
They kicked us out a little after 4. It was a really fun and nice day! Oh, and a few (if not all) of us SHOPPED! Charyti took pictures,
I only have one, it's on my phone! So nothing photographic from me!
I see that Sandy is behind the camera! Hope you all had a great time!
Three cakes for two birthdays? I approve of that cake-to-birthday ratio.
Glad y'all had a good time.
Looks like a great time was had by all....wish I had been up to the drive. I had no idea Ron sewed. Ya'all got much more done, that what I expected. Looking forward to hearing about the fall forum get together.

Oh, and Sandy told us the story of Peetie, the hissing snake! And she didn't mess up one syllable of it! Amazing!
Thanks for sharing pics! Looks like everyone had a great time today. Someday, I will make it to Hamilton!
Man oh man......I've to figure out a way to go next time! Maybe I can fly out to Wisconsin to see mom and sister, then rent a car to Missouri......
Nice pictures. So nice to see everyone Jean, Carol, Bob, Bernice- I guess Sandy was shooting the pic. Thank you Jean for giving us a few crumbs of encouragement about the Fall Retreat. I can't wait to see the plans and get myself booked. I am so happy you had a good day and cant wait for my return trip to Hamilton.
Nan
And, didn't Morgan tell us that they have booked a Featherweight Retreat - was it August 6-7-8???????????? (This year)
Sounds tempting.
Yes, the pictures above were on my phone. I don't photograph well . . . (honestly).
The Featherweight Retreat is Aug 6 - 9, 2015. If you look under MSQC events, it is posted but tickets are not on sale yet.
Well I made it home. It was a great day with great weather and great friends. Ron represented the Doan family with his Featherweight, in between doing his regular work and stitching. Bob Kelly helped with adjustments to out Featherweights. Jenny came over for lunch and birthday cake. She told us some quilting stories. Sandy prepared a wonderful meal, even if it did have Kale in it (AKA Rabbit Food LOL). I'm posting pics that I took . . .

Karen,
It is so funny you mention that. I sat at the table next to Al and Sandy. I was up doing something, productive I'm sure (LOL) and I came back over and sat down and realized the light was out on my Featherweight. I happen to have a spare bulb, so I took the bulb out and started to replace it and looked at the bulb I took out. It didn't look burnt out, and then I realized I has seen Sandy messing with something over by the electrical plug for my machine. So I looked over and it was unplugged. So I put the original bulb back in and turned on my machine and still no light. I was working trying to get the bulb to come on, you know putting it in and taking it out a couple of times. Then it dawned on me I was plugged into a surge protector and Sandy had turned it off when she unplugged my machine.
Everyone got a good laugh out of that.
Thanks Bob......now we have a picture of Sandy .......speechless! Great pictures of great friends!
I know everyone except the lady in the last pic watching Bernice's Bob. Who might that be? BTW I love the look on Sandy's face when she realized Jean was giving her the bag...I do believe I saw the twinkle of a tear. Love ya GF.
Great pics. A good time by all I see. Ok, I know a little about who is who. Someone please tag the pics or give descriptions.
I enjoyed seeing all the pictures. Like some others, I am not familiar with the faces, and this site gets so many new people on a daily basis. Please keep this in mind when posting and add the names. Just a FYI for the future.
Looks like everyone had a grand time.....great pictures everyone.
Wish I lived closer
I love, love the pictures and looks like you all had a wonderful time!
We never got a " class picture" taken, ie, one where you weren't just looking at backsides. This was just a semi planned get together. Sorry if there aren't names to go with the pics or formal pictures.

Let me see, who did I miss? Miss Teri, Bratbear, she must have been in the kitchen or hard at work at her machine! Did I miss someone else? If so, I'm sorry! I thought we had 13, maybe only 12.
Love you Jean - thank you for doing the pics and identifying everyone. I am printing and keeping. I am not sure my old lady brain can remember anything but I can sure try.

Jean Anne = Live to Quilt (just in case someone is looking for her by user name)
Well I have to say we did have a wonderful time and I was tired when I got home. Laughing is hard work.
Thanks for all who posted pictures. I had my camera but did not take but two pictures that are very similar to some of the others.
Thanks to Bob W for starting this and to Sandy and All for lunch.
Carol thanks for making that long trip from Texas it was wonderful to see you again and to catch up.
It is always fun to spend time with good friends and this group is some of the best.
Love the pictures, thank you for sharing with us! :)
