    Default Hawaiian lattice part 2

A while back I posted my mil's lattice quilts, about 30 yrs old. She never 'quilted' them, they were all lose. One of the backs was ripping apart because of flimsy material. I asked dh if I could fix it. Well at least I asked.

So after I took it apart the inside was really interesting. She had layered two fabrics. She also used 1/2 or 5/8'' seams. It's hard to tell.

I'm going to make it for my stepsons dd because every kid got one in the family. I'm going to skip batting I think, but i do want to quilt it. Follow some lines. lol

Just wanted to share my lastet project.

That's really beautiful. I love the fabrics--every time we are in Hawaii I collect fabrics. Please continue posting details as you make progress on your save-the-quilt project!

really nice. I might suggest you put something light in for batting. It will cushion all those seams and make the back softer and smoother.

Amazing what we find - that's why I personally don't stress over an errant seam or crooked piece - if it looks great on the outside no one would suspect - and this quilt looks great on the outside.

I admire what you are doing though - a special quilt for a special young lady.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
