Default WOW!!! Unlikely Group Of Quilters

I was watching a program on MSNBC and they were doing a story about a group of male inmates at the Wabash Correctional Facility that are in a "quilting program."

Who would have thought that a group of maximum security inmates would enjoy quilting!

Just imagine all the psychological benefits they get from quilting. We all know what it does for us. Prisoners certainly can use a little stress management and pride of accomplishment, don't you think? Great idea!

Very cool. I used to do counted cross stitch when I was in college majoring in psychology and I often thought how that hobby could really target areas of the brain that might be hard to access or activate. I wasn't a quilter back then but I'm glad that sewing is helping some folks!

Great story, this has 2 benefits the inmates and the community. The inmates know that this a privilege and work hard to be a part of it and the community benefits with what they make. It would be great if more correctional facility had programs like this

Fantastic - quilting is such a peaceful time.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
