I love the "Katniss/Mocking Jay" quilt!
Do those die cut machines cut any more than a couple of layers at once? It seems like a lot of work to me.
That is pretty cute!
Great quilt and I am a big Katniss fan. How do they come up with all these ideas. Amazing!
Thank you for the link.
Not really fan of this one, and it looks like a lot of work.....since I am doing straight line quilting, I think quilting this could be a hard thing...
But I like looking and listing to Jenny always, when she was reading the phonebook I would still like it I guess.
So liking the quilt or not, it great to see her make it :)
This would be cute in a smaller size for a little boy.
I am absolutly with you Klasien, Jenny could read the phonebook backwards and I would listen like a Little child to fairy tales.
I think, cutting the pieces with this Little machine wastes a lot of fabric and I would prefer to do it the "traditional" way.
I don`t know, if I would do a complete arrow quilt, but it seems a very good boarder pattern. what do you think?
Way to complicated for me...besides, I am a die hard template and ruler. Gal...don't want to be buying more tools...sorry jenny. not a fan of this one... hope she doesn't start promoting equipment to make her quilts....
Just viewed this tut. I like it. More inclined to do it with the templates so it's quite doable without the die cutter.
But I have Accuquilt go and may have similar dies, have to check!!
But it's great for a baby boy quilt too!!
Love Jenny!!!
I had a little boy who was a Webelo in Cub Scouts.he earned his "arrow of light",the highest award for Cubs at least it was at the time. My sweet little boy would love this but I'm thinking it may be too much. Maybe a table topper? Lol.
Thanks once agian Annika! :D Cute quilt, and would make an excellent baby boy quilt. Arrows might be really cool in borders. Still thinking on this one, but as always, Jenny does a great tutorial, gotta start my Friday off right! :D
I really liked the look of this quilt, but not sure if I'd have the patience to make it.
Pat
Not sure if I'd have the patience to make it, but I do like the look of it.
And the arrows would make a nice border, too.
Even making the arrows smaller for a border would work, I think.
Two weeks ago I purchased a Big Shot on sale (I'm still waiting for it to be delivered).
I like Jenny demonstrating alternative tools that can be used to make things easier.
Don't have to buy the stuff, but it's nice to know what's available out there.

It seems pretty easy to me. Simple steps to a cute quilt. Very easy to make a smaller one with 3 arrows versus 4 in a row for a boy's quilt. It just seems if you cut all of your pieces in advance it would go pretty quick and easy. Fun kids quilt!
I wouldn't have the patience for this one. It's cute, but just not me. This one's not in my future. Too many other projects ahead of it, anyway.
I really like the idea of using as a border. You could even make the feather part of the arrow longer or different lengths. Great idea all.
