I just had to say this as it popped up on another disucssion and I looked at it and boy howdy bingo was it's name!

The main reason I don't like charm packs is this.....(the other is they shrink)
It's called the "Glorious Hummingbird Charm Pak"... I love h-birds.. I have feeders and during spring to fall, I usually have about 25 or so that come for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My GD even got one to feed from her hand! So.. I like hummingbirds so anything with that name I will look at and like to decorate with in my kitchen and patio

I checked this pack out thinking, cool, I'll make something for my kitchen and bring the hummingbirds inside...make something with the cute little guys...pillows for my outdoor chaise where I sit in the summer and read...

Well... here it is...... https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...rds-charm-pack

Look close and you'll see the little birds....after you filter through all the other "non" hummingbird pieces and colors! out of 42 charms... only 6 have the hummingbird on them! All the rest are coordinating prints. Put it together and you'll be hard pressed to find them in a quilt as they will be drowned out by the prints. So why call it "hummingbird" giving the buyer the thought that they are going to be looking at....hummingbirds? There are 30 charms shown and it says some have duplicates...but my experience in charms is that the main design designation (that in this case being the birds) ...usually are not the ones that have a duplicate. And if they do...it is only one or maybe 2 and the rest are dups of the prints. PLUS... look at the charms... they have a tiny little, hard to see H-bird near a large flower with lot of blank background..look hard or you miss it. And then they have large flowers filling the whole charm and if you look hard you can designate there is a bird in there.

Why don't they do it the other way around sometimes and give us mostly the theme charms and then add some solids/prints? OR at least equal of each. But to give just 6...it is just extremely frustrating to me and the main reason I don't buy charms. Okay, off my soap box!
