I would do as Kim suggested and look at the packs when they pop up and choose from the collection and buy yardage. I'm getting more into five and under print quilts. If the pack is really kid friendly that's the one I will buy.

The precut world isn't going to change. You can buy 1/4 yard cuts too.

Karen made a very valid point. And might I suggest, if charm packs don't have enough the particular fabrics you want, either purchase layer cakes, or yardage. All are for sale and shown on the page you order your charm pack from. Easey, peasey!
Don't worry if plan A fails, there are 25 more letters in the alphabet!!

No, you are right...fiffth look and squinting and about 8 inches from the monitor...yeah, those are birds..solid color outline on same color background. If you have to look that hard...it isn't worth including them in the name..plus...once assembled..you wouldn't be able to make them out as birds.

I'm with you Karen.. many times I LOVE the daily deal...but being a "picky" consumer.. I HAVE to look at ALL the prints which is not always shown,, and a lot of the time I decide NO,,, don't like that many of the.... it's saving me a fortune...LOL

I did just do something like that kaydee... I bough 4 packs of the "Lovely" charms awhile back...and used the ones I liked and made mention of not using the others (half of each pack) and someone said she'd buy the others from me as she liked those! So we did! THat was really nice to do. But in this case... I'd want 42 of just the birds!

Maybe Admin would do a new discussion category for trades of "charms I don't like...do you like them?" or something like that! I might buy charms again!

I'm not saying they are. I"m just discussing (as many agree) why we don't like charm packs. Sometimes if you say why you dont' like something...someone has a suggestion how to work around it..... like kaydee did.

But why call it Hummingbird..where you only got 6 of those. They were the minority of designs.

In my layer cake package there are 14 squares that have the larger hummingbirds on them, that doesn't include the tone on tone hummingbird fabric. If I cut those into charms then I will have 56 charms. So I'm assuming there are 14 squares of that same hummingbird fabric in the charm packs.

Like Kim T said, I like the charm pack picture to see the whole line and then I can buy yardage of the ones I like/want. Always look at the picture with all the charms and zoom in if needed. Then buy what you need. M* always has the parts below for easy buying -- funny how easy they make it.

No admin won't set up a separate category for that. There is no need to since there is an already existing group for that very purpose. Swapping, trading or giving away unwanted fabric/sewing related items. No selling is allowed on this board.
