Cool Ricky Tims and Bernina! Whoo-hoo!

my GF and I did a Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson 3 day seminar, this past Thursday-Saturday. we also volunteered to help with the setup, store, quilt show.....it was ABSO AWESOME!!!!! if you've got the chance, do it, even if you only do the seminar. he did a concert Friday night, which we made our hubbys come to. the weather here, San Antonio, went into some wild and crazy funk, cold, freezing rain, it was crazy. oh, and, well, I bought a Bernina 580E!!! yikes, still can't believe I did, now I can do embroidery. I've never had a fancy machine, I'm a bit scared. lol.

Congratulations on your new machine! Don't be scared, jump in there and start. That's the best way to learn the machine. I remember when I first got my embroidery machine I sat with the user guide by my side!

You will really enjoy your Bernina. I was terrified of mine when I first got it home, it sat for ~two weeks while I just kind of eyed it suspiciously. now I really enjoy using it, and I know there are features I haven't figured out yet. Not sure if you purchased at a quilt shop or at the seminar, but authorized Bernina dealers must offer you a free class within the first year of ownership to introduce you to the machine and it's operation.

Congrats! I hear that's a very nice machine. I have a Bernina that I love. It's an old one, but I am still in awe of how good it is. Make beautiful quilts.
