    Default New Martelli toy

Got my roundabout today. Really happy I sent it to my workplace.

Question for those who already have theirs. How long does this glue smell last. Wow - it is so bad, I had to wrap it back up quickly. Will air it out at home.

But I am thrilled to have it. Have to wait until I finish my bargello to use it. But am sure I will love it.

Me too! I got mine at the Black Friday Red Line sale from Martelli - the smell was horrible!! It still smells, but only if I put my nose down to it - it no long permeates the air of the entire room (thankfully!!).

I agree, the smell is bad... even worse than the green Olfa kind!!!

Will frebreeze help any with the smell? Works for my not so aromatic litter boxes here.

My mat never smelled. I think I remember the material they use on the turntable (that makes it slide proof) is what you are smelling. However, mine never smelled, but I have do have the vibration mat you set your machine on and it's made from the same stuff and it did smell for a couple days. I don't even notice it anymore.

OHHH!!! I hope mine comes today too!!! I think they get delivered via UPS and my driver doesn't come by until the afternoon. I ordered last week during the Redline sale, so hopefully it'll be here soon!

I have the Skini-Strips that they sell, and I agree... I think it's the non-skid stuff they use on them. I left them out in my garage overnight and now I don't really notice the smell.

I'm loving my Martelli Round About that I got during their last 2014 red line sale. I don't remember there being any smell. I didn't get the ironing pad. Just took a sniff and it has a "new" smell to it, but doesn't stink!

I have mine airing out. It is much better already, but it was so bad - I opened the box at work and had to quickly wrap it back up. It made the whole office area stink. It was so funny. I cannot believe it did not smell through the box. I layed all the pieces out on my cutting table and put the ceiling fan on over it for several hours. Even my granddaughter was like - what did you buy.... The smell was like industrial glue.

Anyway, cannot wait to use it. It will be a great tool to have.
