Has anyone used this ruler, and is it worth it?? I am so on the fence whether to get it or not.

Hi Pat.......I have a 8.5 inch Square It Up/Fussy Cut Ruler from Creative Grid. The creative grid rulers are worth every penny for the non slip dots that are embedded into the back of the rulers. The increment markings are nice too. I haven't used mine for fussy cut purposes but have used it for squaring up blocks and cutting finished blocks for a crazy quilt. I have several other rulers from CG and like them all.

Pam thank you. If you had to do it over again, would you buy the largest one (16.5), or do you like the one you have?
I am eying more for fussy cutting (i.e. panels), but would also use for squaring blocks. I already have the omnigrid 9.5 and 12.5 square rulers, so those could be used for squaring those sized blocks if needed.

I don't know that I would use one that big but that may depend more on the types of projects you have planned to do. You might do a search here on the forum for fussy cut rulers and see what other have to say. I know a lot of members like the CG rulers.

I have several Creative Grids rulers. They are worth every penny! I have the 6.5", 12.5", 15.5", & 16.5" square rulers, the 6.5" x 24" rectangle one, & the Storm-at-Sea specialty ruler.
I have the ones from Martelli and they work fabulously. Of course when I took a BOM where I needed one, I did not have them at the time so I just used my regular ruler and did it that way.
pat.
No rain....no rainbows!
I have several sizes of Omni Grid's and just use them. Just line up the cross line in the middle of the template to where you want the middle of the fussy cut and then you can make it the size you want. I just did some with a Mickey Mouse print...put the cross hairs of a 4.5"x4.5" template on Mickey's nose and cut a 4" (f) fussy of him.
