Quilting cabinet assembly: Attachment 97383 Here's where it all started yesterday . . . this was Box #2 (ea box appx 100 lbs!) which we unloaded pc by pc putting all bagged parts, including screws (1M pcs, I kid you not, well maybe I'm exaggerating . . a little) on the kitchen table . . . knowing fm the instructions that we(I) needed to count, categorize and separate them (I used empty medicine containers . . hmm, I'm so glad after spending all that prescription $ I could use those 'dern' little empty bottles!) At least I could sit at the table to do it and have a cup of coffee as we began our furniture assembly!!

We then put big cabinet parts in the bedroom where this cabinet is going to live . . . space being at a minimum, we put some on the bed . . . . some on my easy chair . . and the very biggest parts on the floor and standing up against the walls!! Can't you just picture this . . . . two 'old folks' to be stooping, bending and . . alas, crawling around in the floor - - an absolute 'booby trap' in the making!!!

I'll leave out the part about having to move what was on the bed somewhere else to be able to go to bed (that was 3 am this morn!)!?!?!?!?

So now today, Day 2 - We read and adhere to instructions religiously! We "pushed Twist-Lock Fasteners into Fixed Shelf D and Bottom E" . . . AFTER . . . I run to the kitchen, identify "Twist Lock Fastener" and race back with them to B/R where the FS D and FS E are!! We fasten the left molding "U" to the left end "B" using Black 2" Pan Head Screws "YY" . . . run to the kitchen, identify B2"PHSs "YY" and race back with them to B/R where left molding "U" and the left end "B" are!! All this, as well as stooping, bending, and yes, crawling around in the floor!! Click image for larger version.

Wish I'd made a video . . he helps me up off the floor . . . I help him up off the floor . . . Second thought NO video, it would be embarrassing . . . but it could have been a Lucy show, but in their golden years . . . and would have been funnier if it didn't hurt so much to laugh!! Picture same scenario most all day . . . we persevere, with a break here and there . . . and a giggle spasm or two and here is our progress to now Click image for larger version.

Tomorrow we'll put the doors on and finish it up . . . that is if we can stand up straight without 'screaming in pain' from sore muscles! All things considered, the instructions were 'spot on' and holes drilled where they were supposed to be . . . we did have a goof or two but easily corrected. After all my worry about the exterior finish, it's not bad at all, color wise blends right in with the wall color which I like.

Some of you asked for photos, so here ya go and I also made an album with more to document the assembly. I'll be kind and only give you a couple more when it's complete with the doors. That's my story and I'm 'stuck' to it!
