I love this tutorial.
I do have the binding tool and will look forward to using it to make this quilt later this year.
@ Louise: I'll try to run out to my sewing room to measure that tool for ya if no one else has it handy enough to measure.

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

I'm a Jinny Beyer fan, but this one is just fantastic!!! I can't wait to get my hands on this jelly roll!!
Though I have a few others that may work! OMG! My list is growing!!!

This one looks like fun and it makes one gorgeous quilt. I have a Kona dusty solid jelly that I have been saving for something special. I love the slightly muted colors and I think this is a match. What do you think? Think solids would work?

Procrastinate! It frees up time to quilt!

I also liked the 2nd larger quilt better. I didn't care for all that black on the 1st quilt -- not enough contrast with some of the colors, like the purple. I think scrappy would work, too. I do not have the binding tool, since I learned to bind another way, but it definitely would work for this pattern. I have too many other quilts I want to make, so this pattern will have to wait.
Loved this tutorial and the fabric she used for it. Is this another add to the "to do" list that is already way too long!

Another quilt pattern that came to mind when I saw this tutorial was the following bargello I came across and saved on my pinterest.

I imagine the binding tool could make it pure simplicity to cut the complex strips in this pattern. Will have to save this tutorial!
Love the first quilt but am probably just going to make the center star for a smaller wall quilt. I wonder how different it would look like if the little black squares were a different color. Might have to play around with that a bit.
