After many posts about Jenny's zippered pouches, I googled 'zippers' and "Wawak" popped up . . . so I went to their website for zippers on Sunday afternoon. Since I had a $10 off my first order if $80, I did a look see if any chance I needed enough for an $80 order.

So I go to 'threads' - I carted what I thought was good prices on . . . Gütermann Silk Thread 440 yds Assorted - 5/Pack $9.30 . . . . Mercerized Cotton Thread 6,000 Meter Assorted - 5/Pack $4.99 . . . . Coats Dual Duty XP General Purpose Sewing Thread Assorted Color 50/spools $27.99, good prices, yes? The thread was the only thing I was uncertain about - just looking for feedback.

My first run at 'zippers', I had ordered 12 (Buy 2, get 1 free), which actually was 18 (they were initially $.94 each, but with freebees were only $.63) so I add 8 more zippers, actually 12 - maybe I'll be making 30 zippered pouches!!! Well, I actually do need to make about 20 as gifts for my NC friends/family when we go this year - perfect justification, doncha think??

So I found a few more "I'll probably need this" items and hit my $80 . . . BUT . . . you get free shipping with $100 order!!! I take another look, everything's on sale!?!? So a few machine needles, fusible fleece, a 28 MM cutter, etc, etc, etc . .

Free shipping and w/$10 credit less than $100 - it's Christmas all over again!!
The icing on the cake is I rec'd it in 2 days w/the order date being on Sunday! Now if my Sewing Cabinet will just get here, I'll be ready to sew, sew, sew! . . . . . Isn't that Good Drama?? After my early mornin' furnace mishap, I sure think so!

I like Wawak too. I got 2 packs of the 25 assorted 14 inch zippers. I already had 2 places of the 11 inch for the purses I make.
What would we do without zippers???

I have ordered from Wawaks before and was able to get a HUGE cutting mat for 25 bucks. That was a few years ago but I often check them out whenever I get a yen to surf notion type stores online.
You did GREAT. Hurry up cabinet! (the better to hide the evidence, right?)

You bet, Blondie - but this little closet I'm cleaning out just isn't gonna be big enough! In all these boxes I have stacked up here, I not only have a "stash" but I have zippers, batting, thread galore and so many 'notions' I'm not sure what they're all for! My Mr. now checks every morning for packages - n' I keep telling him about "the terrific sales"!?!?!?
