Go to the Martelli's website. They have a 50 percent sale going on but it's just for today. The code is RL1501 for the 50 percent off. It's your lucky day. Get some extra blades too while you're at it.
Thank,s Dollyquilts. I'm just concerned about having to purchase blades online. Does Joann's or Hobby Lobby sell blades that fit the Martinelli rotary cutter?
The blades I got from Martelli look just like the Fiskar blades I have so I'm pretty sure they will work in the Martelli cutter.
Don't be worried about buying their blades on line....they are probably the highest quality blade I have ever bought and I rarely have to change them. I know before I changed it right before Christmas, the last time was this past summer. Yes, they last that long!
It looks like Jenny is using the Olfa Splash 45 mm rotary cutter in the video.
You guys are a bad influence...telling me about 1/2 off Martelli site....and I have been so good while on my
no shopping" diet. I bought the turntable and cutting mat. Sure hope I like them.
I bought my Martelli cutter months ago and still haven't had to replace the blade (yes they do sell them). I love, love, love my Martelli cutter. Well worth the money
I was duly impressed by watching the video on the Martelli site regarding rotary cutters. So hence, the order for one yesterday. Was talking to my GF and she only had two words to say to me, ROFL............................"DUH Carrie!!!!" Live and learn! :D
One more question before I order it......can you open and close it with one hand. My Fiskar's 60 takes both hands to open the blade.
You can open it by rolling it, but you have to close it using the tab on the back.
Mine must be at least 7 years old. I use Olfa blades in it.
Thanks for the promotion code. Am going to try the 18 x 24 cutting mat I have heard so much about. Wouldn't have done it without that code. Another person here easily influenced. lol
