I want to make my son a quilt. His room is going to be greys and greens. The quilts I look at are more 'girly' than he likes. Does anyone have a picture of one that would work for him?

I remember a lady in my quilting group who had a boy who loved anything with planets, outer space, etc a, and she found a fabric with planets on it. It was in deep shades of blue with nice bright accent colors of red, orange, green, gold, and white around the planets. Try to find a subject he is interested in and you might be able to make something in that theme. Any block pattern could work once you find the right fabric. Good luck.
Do you think he'd like a bargello?
The Cut Up by Pieced Tree Patterns is a great one for men too. Pieced Tree Patterns - Easy to Piece. Easy to Enjoy!
Here's one I found on pinterest. It's in browns but will give you an idea of how it'll look in greens and greys too. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/152418768610926306/

But, let him look at some patterns then buy the fabric. If he's involved, he will like it better.
Also, my youngest loves dragons. I found some neat blue and gold dragon and tiger fabric made by Headgear. http://www.cottonnoveltyfabrics.com/...randdragon.jpg
My son has asked if he could choose the coordinating fabric so sometime this week we will be going to the fabric store together. Making a BQ3 pattern.
Speaking of BQ3.... was just going to suggest for her to look at the "Maple Island Quilt" patterns; they're large blocks, modern, and great for the male persuasion!! I absolutely love them!!
What hobbies does he have? I just made one for my 13 year old grand son and used the logo fabric of four of his favorite football teams and the "snowball" block....He loves it!

Use his hobbies or a movie he likes or a time in history he likes or things like camo or outdoor theme... I have seen some really nice outdoor animals... deer, bear in the woods etc. Favorite animal, favorite car or sport or acitivity.
I did this one for my son to take to college.
I made this one for my grandson when he was 17 and he loves it!! Uses it every night....
