Good idea. I have moved 32 times in 37 years... I have learned lot of tricks of the trade too! Paper plates between dishes, towels and sheets for padding. Drawers in dressers etc...for packing space but...pack one drawer in each persons room with 2 changes of clothes. THat way when you get things in the house...you have 2 days clothes right there handy until you can get everything situated! Plus...store (very) light weight things in the fridge and freezer and washer/dryers... light weight like pillows, "nice" blankets you dont' want to use for padding, stuff animals, winter coats. Thank you so much for sending these helpful tips. I had never thought of putting things in the washer or dryer. I have not moved in almost 10 years so I am definitely cleaning out and making daily trips to Goodwill. It is too cold here for a yard sale so I am donating lots of really nice things. Today I did some packing and now I am treating myself to working on my D9P made from Ala Carte fabrics.
