I cooked today. I made a quilt sandwich
You could try something like Jacobs ladder, log cabin,4 patch, google easy quilt blocks and see what hits your fancy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I googled myself out looking for ideas so that is why I posted here on the forum. I've done four and nine patch designs, Summer in the park and don't want to do those again. I went through Jenny's tuts but nothing is shouting at me to do since most look best with multiple colors.

St Louis 16-patch with orange peel design quilting. 2JR will make a large quilt--is fast and easy to put together. It's kind of old school Grandma style but I love the pattern. It's all about the fabric, make sure you have strong light/dark contrast. Look some up on Pinterest!!
I can throw one more out there. I bought the pattern,

The pattern is the Dresden coin quilt and Jenny did a tut on it a year or more ago. It is among the tuts actually listed on the web site but is also on Utube. She shows it in yellow, black and gray, can't remember the name of the line.
Disappearing 9-patch is a great one. Really easy

Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong
Thank you all for the suggestions. After viewing all of Jenny's videos, magazines, your suggestions, etc, I decided to go with the Craftsy Class Hour Glass quilt. I bought the class last year but never started. Now I'll just have to find the right fabrics for the design. Part 1 is decided (the design) on to Part 2 finding the right fabrics.
