As many of you reading this know, I had several issues with Fabric.com with my two orders, the only orders I ever placed with them.

Initally, and many suggested I should, I was going to contact someone higher so they could address the issues. But, I decided I did not want to deal with them. Then, I did some googling for a CEO or something. Through my googling I find that Fabric.com is a subsidiary of Amazon. I truly did not know this before. Well, that fired me up again because I am a huge supporter and customer of Amazon and the biggest reason is their customer service and technical assistance.

So, I found the email of Amazons CEO and sent him an email regarding my experience with Fabric.com. I provided the facts and my view of it all from the perspectice of a customer and that I would not be ordering from Fabric.com any longer and that I had shared my experience with the forum I am on. BTW when I found Mr. Bezos' name, I read he prides himself on answering all comunications.

Only 2 days after my email, I received a call from a customer service lead at Fabric.com. She left me a message, that was yesterday. I finally got back in touch with her today. We had a long chat and she shared with me how they would address what happened with the two orders. She said the duplicate order should not have needed to be returned, there was no reason that I could not just pay for it, there are always work arounds. Of course, it is not typical of them to send duplicate orders and they would continue to research why it happened in the first place. The pieces of yards I received was also an error they found in the stocking side. While it showed stock online, when they went to pull it, the fabric was not in the place it was supposed to be. It was never put away. We never did discuss the poor cutting of the fabric.

Sorry for the long winded feedback. The jist of our call was they were going to address each error that occurred to hopefully ensure it would not happen again.

On top of this conversation, they compensated me. They had already shipped out 5 full yards of the fabric they had sent pieced, added in the box a beautiful sewing box, and added 50 dollars to my account. She said if there are any further issues, I could email her directly.

Amazing response. I let her know I would continue to try them out and see how it goes. I wanted to share with all of you as this is a big lesson learned for me. Don't be quiet. No matter what the issue is, if they do not know about it they cannot fix it.

Thanks all for hanging in with me. During this mess, our family found out my dad has urethra cancer. He has already had two surgeries and gets the final results this Friday. However my sister has already spoken to the doctor and it is in the lymph nodes and he will need chemo and radiation. At the age of 84, we do not know if he will choose to do anything that will make him sick. My mother may have something to say about that, we will find out Friday. I am now planning to make a long weekend trip this February to visit. I totally hate going north in the winter (NJ). I apologize for my crabbiness lately. It was a bit hard to gradp the full meaning of this information, in fCt I am still in a bit of the denial stage. My dad has been a trooper through all this, very difficult rare cancer for a man to del with.

Thank you my wonderful forum friends. I could not deal with all of this without all of you!

P.S. I went and got myself the iPhone 6. Loving it!
