My new Bernina 750QE doesn't fit my table..
I was blessed with this new machine on our anniversary back in October ... and I love, love, love the machine...
but my sewing table is too high and is causing neck and shoulder pain (that's getting worse)when I sew too long.
I cannot modify the table because it has metal legs and a glass top.
Here's the machine :

and if you look to the right of the embroidery module (which is removable), you'll see the bobbin door. So I can't sink the machine into a table and still access the bobbin. The only tables that seem to address this specific issue are Horn and Koala (costing about $2500 - 3500).
I almost forgot to mention, I even purchased a new chair with hydraulic lift.... but still the same issue. The table is too tall.
So, do any of you have a newer Bernina and if so what type of table do you use? Thanks so much.... I really need help on this one!!!

There are saws that can cut the metal table legs

Thank you for responding Claire.... but these table legs are in the shape of a curved X and the brace is along the back. Thanks so much for trying ;)

I can't help you but I'm sending you lots of sympathy!

I have a Gidget 2 table with the acrylic insert that I currently have my Juki in (also have an insert for my viking). When I need to get under it, I just pop up the acrylic insert over the lip and slide it over. It's not heavy and moves easily. I think it would work for your machine as well.

Know what you mean!
I now have the Horn table with the hydraulic lift for mine.
I would check on Craig's list for a table.

This is exactly what I saw talking about, I get neck and shoulder pain if I sew to long. That's why I was try to show my DS what kind of sewing table I need.

Do you know a handy carpenter type?

What a beautiful machine!
Re: My new Bernina 750QE doesn't fit my table..
I have a Bernina 830QE which is even larger than yours. I have an Arrow Bertha cabinet and it fits fine. My husband did a LOT of research to find a cabinet that was large enough to fit in. This was the cheapest (and it's not cheap) cabinet he could find that would fit the machine. My bobbin door is in the same place and I can easily access it when it is sunk. You do need to lift it up even with the table to use the embroidery module but other than that - it does fit.
Re: My new Bernina 750QE doesn't fit my table..
I would suggest a used table that is lower as a temporary fix... then research possible sewing cabinets if that is what you are eventually hoping to get. We repurposed a small farmhouse side table as a coffee table - we sawed the legs down to coffee table size and I love it! Craigslist often has free, solid wood tables available!

I also have the Bernina 750 qe. I have a Koala studio table. It works great. When I'm sewing I can raise or lower the machine. My chair adjust higher or lower to help with back strain. No complaints yet. Good luck finding something.

JudyAnn I hear you. My husband is also a wonderful man but he can barely change a light bulb. He is a total retired bureaucrat and has little interest in addition to zero aptitude for handyman stuff.
