    Default Suggestions, please...

My Texas friend.....who has end stage MS.....has asked me to mske her what we call KitchenQuilt. I made her a quilt for the motor coavh they travel in, and it is called Cindy 's Choice... She loves it,mand insists that it stay in Coach, do she will nit forget it when they travel... I'm including a picture OF CC.

Cindy is a gourmet cook, and a master baker.... Her kitchrn is definitely a "chef 's kitchen "..., it is done in muted sages, either some neutrals... It looks like something right out of Better Homes and Gardens.... Seriously.

Cindy wants KitchenQuilt to be nothing but sages and creams...maybe a hint of cranberry, but no pop of color.... Basically, a two color quilt.

Choosing the right pattern has been difficult.... I've suggested. X's & O 's, a tumbler quilt, using either 5 or 19 inch tumblers, a dimple one patch with alternating squares of sage snd cream, and a couple of others. The idea is to be simple...nothing too fussy...

    Any suggestions would be appreciated....

I have been assured that should Vindy get into an unsurvivable situation, that her husband will arrange for me to fly to Houston... I hope that trip won 't happen for a long time..... But, I want to get KitchenQuilt to her as do on as I can, so she can snuggle under it while having breakfast...which is the plan. I just wish I were a fast quilter, but I 'm not.

Thanks in advance for any ideas....

So sorry to hear about your friend. Sandy what about a Jacob's Ladder. I think it would be beautiful in sage and cream.

A simple Irish Chain would look good in Sage and Cream.

I'm only a beginner, but how can I help you do this for your friend? Good wishes, obviously...

Sandy, I just made this quilt for a neighbor. It's only 9 blocks total using 2 charm packs. It's a 9 patch block that is cut twice corner to corner then mix up the sections and sew back together then add sashing. When I quilted it I just did straight lines. Went super fast.

I like stars but I don't have any other ideas. I do happen to have a fabric that I would gladly send to donate to your project if you think she would like it. There is a little over a yard, if you added sage with it you could pull out that color.

I can't seem to get the picture to upload but the fabric is in my photo's.

The floral is what I am talking about. I have some of the other also......if your interested.
