If doing the right thing were easy, it wouldn't be commendable. Too bad they didn't either (a) let you benefit from their mistake (I've had vendors sometimes do that) or (b) let you pay for the extra you received at the same price. No matter. You taught your granddaughter a valuable lesson through your actions and you feel better about yourself. I'm sure the universe will reward you somehow -- even if it is just our praise.
