Yes, I totally feel great. There was no second thoughts, it was the only thing to do. Boohoo
Oh, but I wanted that fabric. Thank you to all for your kind words and for keeping me honest. Lily will know it is totally the right thing to do and I hope she will live by those same rules.

Life is short - live it up while you can
And that dear Karen is why it is called Temptation.
There was no doubt in my mind what you would do, even if your GD wasn't watching.![]()

Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. I agree with our forum members. You deserve a BIG pat on the back. Remember what goes around, comes around and you are due a large one.![]()
you did the right thing!!! Your parents raised you right.
You've got to do the right thing. If you used the ill gotten fabric, the quilt voodoo could come down upon you, and mess up your project! That's what would happen to me, at least!
Doing the right thing in the end always pays off; you set a wonderful example for your granddaughter.

Now you can sleep with a clear conscience. Sometimes a groc. store clerk will ring up an item at conventional prices when it's really organic, which is more expensive. I always correct them, & they thank me for it. Living a life of integrity is important.
What goes around .. Comes around...

You did the right thing, and what a great lesson for your GD! Inconvenient, yes, but it will come back to you tenfold!![]()
Don't worry if plan A fails, there are 25 more letters in the alphabet!!
