Why do I always want the books I leave 6000 miles away??

I want to make my niece a quilt from the Quick Trip book by Eleanor Burns, I own the book. I have made quilts from it, but I don't have it here in Kaz. I order fabric ahead, often from kits, but my niece really loves this pattern, so I know I want to do it for her. I see fabric I love for her at a good price, but I have no idea how much of it I need to buy.

I can't find fabric requirements or an electronic copy of the book either, I'd gladly buy the book if there were one!

Sigh... Living on 2 continents doesn't work well with old books, but I love Eleanor Burns's books, it's how I learned to quilt!

I have several of Eleanor Burn's books, but sadly, not that one. Sorry!

And I am an EB fan too! Love her to pieces!!

But do you know the name of the pattern? Maybe it is in more than one of her books . . .

Somehow I have a feeling if you emailed EB and told her your plight - she may email you a copy via internet... worth a shot!

Last time I checked the videos from her PBS program where she made that quilt were on her website. That's where I first saw it and later bought the book. As I recall, she also gives yardages in the video. You might check there and take notes. BTW, this is my go-to pattern. I've made several and they're fairly quick and easy to do with wonderful results. Best of all, they've been appreciated by the recipients.

Just watched the video! What a fun quilt. She does tell all the fabric requirements for every size from crib to king. I might have to try it now.
