LOL, talk about enabling, looks like there's a jelly roll on my list!
Thanks for posting.
That is going to be a favorite for Batik lovers.
Gee.....I may have a spare jelly roll or 40!!!!
Oh dear! Another one for my list...
If I had a JellyRoll I would start right this minute......what a great pattern, the black makes it so beautiful.
just amazing, I think this is my favorite of all times :)
Great tutorial, thanks Jenny and crew.
I love the bright colors in the jelly roll Jenny used. I only wish we could have seen more of the other layouts. I guess if we wanna see then we need to make some blocks.
I do like batiks and this quilt is stunning, but I can see it done in so many beautiful fabrics! Love this one for sure! :icon_bigsmile:
This is a great block, and so simple! I've already made a similar quilt in batiks, but I may make it again in regular fabrics.
Jenny is a genius!!!
I love batiks and I love black accents and it is a stunning quilt :icon_tup::icon_tup::icon_tup:
But, I am not adding this to my list. I do not have the patience to snowball each block three times.
I can see this turning into an UFO...:icon_slap::icon_slap::icon_slap:
OH my, this is pretty!!!
OH BOY... I'm collecting batiks for a PP project right now!! So far I've collected 12 "lights" from South Seas and Anthology...FQ's..now i'll pick the "darks" to blend with them..
Now,,, I've got to get me one of those mini irons and make up a little pressing station, cause my current place is "around the quilt frame on the other side"... I like it as a "force" to get up and move,, but with this project it would be ridiculous!!:)
I really like this one will have to put this on my list.
I have a Downton Abbey - Dowager Countess jelly roll - thinking that might look great with black geese . . . . .
I was looking for something to do today....I have found it!........I'm going to go over and sit in my little corner of my world with my machine, iron and cutting table and get dizzy spinning around on my chair! You have just made my day! Thank you.
Another one of Jenny's tutorials to add to my ever growing list. :)
It's a beautiful quilt. But, I just don't like all that snowballing. I probably won't make this one.
OK, so who is going to sew up a bunch of blocks so I can see the different layouts possible? I'm just not good at conceptualizing. I do like the one Jenny made, and would enjoy all the different steps (I like to take breaks in between the sewing.) :icon_bigsmile:
I like the look of this too, but all that snowballing. I am still working on the ring quilt with the snowballing.
Love the concept....trying to imagine this in lighter, brighter colors....a little to dark for my taste....not to mention, way to much work for a PICU quilt. I do love it though.
This design would look good in traditional fabrics too......just change the accent "goose" for a pop of color. Small scale prints would really look good in this design too! Picture lovely earth browns and greens and deep reds/wine with a cream/light beige 'goose'. Or lovely lavenders and creams with a pop of green. Or blues and white with a pop of red!
