    Default A 'REAL THREAD' PROBLEM!!

Earlier this evening as I was working away on Quilt #2 (which became Quilt #3 - long fabric mis-cut story), I had just finished sewing 1 row of blocks tog (a rag quilt). I took it from the sewing machine (in the kitchen) headed for the bedroom where I had everything laid out to get the next set of blocks.

I quickly realized that there was a thread attached to the row (seems the auto cutter had cut the top thread, but not the bobbin thread (which was a newly rewound bobbin). I had pulled out about 30 ft. of thread when I turned to go back to the sewing machine.

Unfortunately MM had at that moment gotten up from his 'easy chair' in the FR heading for the - yes, the kitchen!! He is now wrapped 2 or 3 times, as he was trying to figure what he was messed up in. His turning with the thread flying, he managed to "take on" several dry twigs that I had adorning a plant sitting in the kitchen!!!

Now we're both in the kitchen all wrapped up in thread and I'm trying to get us loose - the thread and twigs are now caught up in his fuzzy slippers and he's frustrated cause he can't walk!! I made him stand still while I untangled his slippers, but the thread is still around his body. Now that his feet are free, he's heading back to his 'easy chair' - except to get there, he's gonna have to cope with the "tangle hub" that's at the end of the kitchen table and my sewing machine! I urged him (maybe in raised voice irritation) not to go that way, to be still till I got the 'rest of him' free from thread! Finally I did free him!

The moral of this "thread catastrophe" is that MM is pouting cause I yelled at him and 'he didn't do anything wrong' - his words! I'm trying to "un-thread" everything else that had gotten caught up in an entire bobbin full of thread and get it in the garbage. Had to cut here and there to rescue my sewing chair and the 'dry twigs' - some 20 minutes later I've finally de-threaded the Mr., my sewing chair, the plant with the twigs and myself - and I'm apologizing to MM cause he's right, it wasn't his fault - and neither of us have yet recognized the 'humor' in the thread catastrophe!!!

I just hope MM hasn't changed his mind about my sewing in the kitchen!! Every 'thread' of this is the truth!!!! "B"
NC sayin's from my mama n' daddy, a reminder, lest I forget:

~I’m gonna tan your hide. (You’re about to get a whoopin’.)
~set yourself down a spell ~~every day of the week n' twice on Sundays
~knock you clean into next week n' then some ~~deader than a door nail
~can't get blood from a turnip ~~your neck o'the woods
~You're just playing possum (pretendin' to be asleep when you didn't want to get up n' go to school)

So, your hubby is also all wound up in your new hobby? If you decide to name your quilts, this one should have an interesting name - "All Wound Up"; "Tangled Threads". And you will have quite the story to tell as well.

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
