    Default 108" fabric at Joann

This may have been brought up before but I wanted to show the 108" fabric I got at Joann. Normally 12.99 got 50% off for 6.49 per yard.

I was excited to see a nice print because I did not want to piece the back of a quilt I am making for hubby. Thought the material quality was decent too! Found this in the novelty quilting section at my local Joann and not with the muslin. Sorry the photo has some shadows. 108" fabric at Joann-image.jpg

Oh, Kim, I'm going to Joann's today and will have to see if this is available in my store. It will be perfect for the project I have in mind.
Thanks for sharing. I usually use a solid color, but this is great.

Forgot to mention that this was also available in black paisley and a color called parchment (like a light tan) at my local store.

I have used that backing and also the rust in the same print, it is nice quality and what a great price! Thanks for sharing this!

This one works great for quilts that have a Denim look, kind of makes the denim classier! But not feminine!

They have a decent collection of 108" fabrics. They have solid colors and a few nice prints.

Don't forget the option to dye your own fabrics. Check outa few books at the library on the subject. You can get the marbled look in just about any color you might need. I just scrunch the fabric up, stuff it in, and let it soak up the dye. No need to tie it!

This is great for use on the white on white prints too. Remember to piece the fabric before you dye it if you need to, and100% cotton thread will take the color of the dye too. (At least the Connecting Threads brand did.)

Congrats on your wide backing purchase! I have also found 120" wide muslin there too.

I was there last week...108 wide of this beautiful beige on beige print that exactly matched the beige in a quilt I am working on. I always check prices at the scanner as things often are in the wrong place and I use coupons so it has to be regular price to use the 50% off coupon. It scanned at $10.49. I know these scanners...it shows the sale price above and says SALE and the regular price below and says "Reg". This said $10.49 and no sale. So I thought it was that per yard and I'd use my 50% off coupon. When I have fabric cut, I again, ask the person to tell me the price so I know...regular price or on sale. Lady said regular price on this one.
I get to the checkout and she scanns the coupons and says one didn't take...turns out this $10.49 a yard was the SALE price so I couldn't use the coupon! I kind of complained, but since already paid and tired as I had been there 2 hours.. I just took it. It also matched so perfectly. But I was really mad as I can't afford $10.49 a yard!!! So this cost me $20 for 2 yards. I treated myself to a burger and fries at In and Out to make myself feel better. It's one of those "oh well" times.
