    Wink Funny Kid

Just thought I would share a cute (to me) story.

Two of my nephews and a niece were over yesterday. The middle came down to my sewing room and wanted me to make him "something". While I grabbed a scrap piece of Christmas fabric that was sitting near by to make a simple Christmas tree ornament he decided to go through my scraps. He found a quilt sandwich which I was (pathetically) practicing some free motion quilting on. He kept asking me if he could take it home. I just laughed because it is so not good quilting-my very first try actually. I ended up squaring it up and at the end of the visit he proudly took home a little tree and crazy stitched quilt sandwich. Made me smile though. The other two kids also got a Christmas tree ornament cause you know you can't just do for one. lol
Sweet to have someone appreciate your work even if it is a seven year old.

That's sweet. Puts our criticisms of our work in perspective.

You know he saw something very special in that sandwich that appealed to his sense of design. More power to seven year olds.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

From a kid it's even a better compliment! Because kids are totally sincere usually

    That's a sweet story

I have five great nieces and nephews. The youngest one, who is only three has learned if she calls Auntie and asks in her cute little voice, she can get doll quilts and crocheted toys. The other ones, even her brother and sister, haven't ever asked. (they do get little things, too) Almost anything for an appreciative child.
Quilters never die, they just go batts.
