Jenny did a tutorial on how to make a decorative plate using fabric and Mod Podge. I made one last year and the back stayed tacky. Is there something that can keep it from being that way? I want to make another one this year, but not if it's going to turn out the same way.

I've made plates in the past with modge podge but never had any problems with them staying tacky. We sometimes would use a hair dryer to speed up the drying time. But other times we would just let them air dry. Good luck

I have never had it stay sticky either. I also, once it was dry, sprayed over it with a sealer.

You might try thinning it with a bit of water and applying two thinner coat for the final coat(s) . Hope this helps.

Never made one but have used the mod podge on other things. I think you might have spread it on too thick. Also I would let it air dry vs using a hair dryer. That might contribute to it's being tacky.
