Just Wondering
Will you be doing any quilting between now and Christmas? I just got our tree up. This may be our last year in this house as we are considering re-locating so it was a little nostalgic for me even though I am excited about the prospect of moving nearer to our daughter and grand kids. We don't attend many Christmas parties so since the shopping is done and the decorating is done I can get back in my sewing room. I have a Christmas market booth that I am contributing to this year. I have quite a few scarves to do before next Saturday. So glad to be done with decorating and shopping. The crowds were horrendous yesterday during the day. I do not enjoy crowds. I adore little ones but good grief don't those mommies believe in putting those fussy kids down for a nap? So thankful for my quilting habit as it provides me with so much enjoyment.

Re: Just Wondering
My fabrics would put up a stink if I didn't get in there and sew every day or so. And my machines pout like crazy when I ignore them! Thankfully, my rotary cutter has a very gentle disposition. So, yes. I will definitely be sewing between now and Christmas. I have to!

Re: Just Wondering
I plan to. I'm working on blocks for a mystery quilt and I need to try to keep up.

I will probably be stitching on Christmas presents up to the last minute! I always plan too many projects for the time I have available. Also doing a Mystery Quilt, so that is fun, too!

I will doing more sewing, outside and inside decorated and shopping is pretty much done. I am finishing a t shirt quilt and then want to make 2 pillow cases then I can go back to working on projects that have been pushed aside. I do not do much in store shopping any more since I also do not like the crowds.

Re: Just Wondering
I do not really decorat for the holidays. I go to my daughters and she decorates and I truly enjoy seeing it all done. At home, all pretty much stays the same except I have Lily and I need to do Christmas things with her. We have been making Christmas ornaments and stockings. Plus she talks about the presents she is giving and wants to get, etc. Shopping is minimal as we keep the gifts few except for extras to Lily from Santa. Of course we talk about Holly, her Elf on a shelf who is back this year.
All that to say, YES I will be sewing all through the holidays.

Since I do not celebrate, of course I will. My company closes for a week over the holiday and I plan to be in my room all the time.

Re: Just Wondering
I still have two quilts to finish before Christmas. I will be glad to get these two ugly things done. Then I can get to sewing with fabric that I picked out!
