I'm going to Phoenix, well actually Mesa, for Christmas and will be there for a week. Are there any quilt stores that I should visit? Did the Three Dudes shop close? Are there any vegetarian restaurants that you would recommend?

Rescued is my favorite breed.
Three Dudes shop is alive and well as far as I know. Last time I was there was late Oct. Lots of company in the interim. Then in Tempe is Quilter's Ranch. It's under new ownership and they have gone big time into pre-cuts. They had a nice selection of marked down fabrics the last time I was there. Also, I like 35th avenue Sew and Vac in Chandler. Website is 35thavesewandvac.com. They have a huge fabric selection and also lots of notions. And lots of machines as well, including long arms. Those are the LQS that I frequent but I probably order more than half of what I buy on-line. If you have a husband that goes with you on your shopping trip, just know that Three Dudes has home made cookies, coffee, soft drinks and a couch available so quilters don't have to feel rushed.
Check your PM's for more info.
Oooohhh... I will be in the Phoenix area this month for my son's graduation (Yayyyy). Didn't think about checking out some quilt shops while there. Thanks for the post and info.
This is my first winter as a snowbird in Mesa, AZ. I've been to Cabbage Rose on Dobson, between W Main St and University. Beautiful fabric, shabby chic (if you like that) but also batiks and other styles. " A Quilter's Oasis" on E.Baseline, Mesa, is very friendly and also has beautiful fabric .Mesa Flea Market (open Sat. & Sun.) has a fabric vendor that also sells on- line and is on the same street as Quilter's Oasis. There's many more if you google search quilt stores in Mesa Az.
If anyone in AZ would like to meet face to face, please PM. I'm looking for quilty friends and would love to put faces to our forum friends.
