I don't know what to suggest since my boss is a nice and loving person, so never been there!
ALthough other's suggestion about coffee didn't sound bad!
When I want to make gift for a few people which include people I don't get really along with I usually bake. I mean, everybody loves cookies! And it's not too... binding I guess
