Thanks Jean. I bettcha Bob buys this DD. Unless of course he cons you into making it for him. He was so enamoured of yours at the Retreat it was funny. I am really glad you posted today because on my computer that JR looked rust and so I wasn't so interested but as soon as you said it was the same as yours I was gone "again" and ordered. I added the charm pack too because I am such a copy cat. Thanks for posting this. It is just a delicious quilt to snuggle up with. I think this deserves a nice flannel backing.

Oh yes, flannel backing for sure! Mine is backed with a rich crimson backing, and I am using it on my bed every one of these cold nights!

Have you seen this? I haven't seen it in person, but it looks so tempting! Red, White & Quilted by Linda Baxter Lasco | 9781604601688 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble

I too fell prey to the DD demon. I am not really a red lover but fell in love with the MidWinter reds line and loved the quilt I made but gave it away. May have to keep this one, my guest room is calling for a remake with these lovely colors.

Oh dear... I truly loved that DD when I saw it, but resolved that I do not need anything more to add to the 'room'. And I've never worked with a jelly roll (I'm actually quite new to the precuts, thanks to Jenny!) - but after seeing yours, Jean, I am SO tempted! Never really wanted to even make the JRR quilt - but yours is really stunning! And I love red!! Oh, I a weakening... now if it was 'free shipping' today I wouldn't even hesitate! But if I know I have to pay shipping, it tends to make me buy more, to even out the shipping.

    Anybody else have that problem???!!

I know a quilt shop locally that has midwinter red yardage for $6/yd during the month of Dec. I actually bought a couple yards of two prints the other day. What a temptation....but I have so much fabric now...can I justify more? I also bought today's DD. Couldn't resist.

Well Jean if you remember I like to make BIG jelly roll quilts. LOL but I think I will limit this one to one jelly roll.
