Jess, hon -- nobody who knew how many handcrafted holiday projects there are on your to do list could think you were taking the fun out of the season.

Well you sure dropped a bundle of cash there but you SAVED a lot if you consider how much it would be at full price. Shopping online is way too fun and easy isn't it?!!

How fun! Good luck and happy embroidery! Isn't getting those deals like that just the best inspiration ever! I was just asked to make 25 little tote bags for the kids for vacation bible school next summer....I went on line on Thanksgiving day..not intending to buy...just look and stumbled on this shop and she had cottons for $1.99 a yard! Of course I bought 1 yard of several kid prints for the totes, but also bought some for myself for the backs of 2 quilts I have in the planning stage...3 yards each and then of course a yard or two just cause I liked it and it was cheap! $35+ was free shipping.. and I spent $35.82! Yeah, good deals are great!

I got referred to this site by a gal who used have a booth at a craft show I used to exhibit at.

I was so torn between just the kit and the kit with the rack. I really don't have the room for the big rack, so I opted for just the kit... But it would have been nice
I dont' have an embrodiery machine, but you guys have got me so intrigued.. I'm going to check the store out...!

I bought my first embroidery machine (a Brother PC-6500) about 9 years ago when I lost my job at corporate OfficeMax. I was an assistant buyer at the time and when they got bought by Boise, they offered for me to move to Chicago or take a voluntary lay off. With the layoff came 10 months of "retention bonus" (1 month for every year employed) as well as 12 months of severance pay. I took the layoff. Decided to spend some of the retention bonus on something for me, and an embroidery machine would keep me occupied until I found another job . I got it used at a local Brother dealer and started embroidering everything that didn't move!! Lol. It worked really well until a few years ago when all of a sudden it became tempramental. I put it in the closet and moved on... Dreaming one day I would get a new one.

That day came last week when my mom gave me her Viking Designer SE for my birthday. My head immediately started swimming with ideas of all the projects I wanted to do but was afraid to try on my old machine.

My current job shuts down for the week between Christmas and New Years and by then all my gifts should be complete. Planning on spending the week making myself something with my new "baby."

Embroidery machines are sometimes costly, but the possibilities are endless! My first project with her is making the quilt labels for all the quilts I've made for gifts this year

Thanks for the info. I got an embroidery machine at the WalMart black Friday sale so I just placed an order for the starter pack of thread. Can't wait to start playing around with my machine.

Thank you for this post. I ordered two of the 40 count and used the coupon code. It came out to like 53 cents per spool. I'm so excited.

So glad you ladies were able to take advantage of the sale and coupon!!! It really is a hard deal to pass up!!

I just organized the set I got off of Amazon yesterday into a 6-drawer chest I got a JoAnns on Black Friday. Took up a lot more of the drawers than I thought it would. Lol. May have to get another one for the set that will be coming from ThreadArt. He he he
