    Default Wall Hangings

I've done some wall hangings and the small ones hang just fine but the large seem to have a bubble in the middle. I put a rod on the top and bottom but the middle is where the bubble is do I need to put one there too? Can anyone help thanks Becca

Beckie I'm sorry I don't know the solution. Just wanted to say Hi though. Around what size is the one that is bubbling?

I am still pretty new to this but I have discovered the evenness of the quilting makes a difference. If you quilt heavily in one area and lighter in another it seems to make for waves, bubbles, odd un-flatness.
It seems the more I do FMQ the closer my quilting gets, I did not have much problem with waves until I started quilting more densely. I think I may return to my large meander if I want something to lay/hang flatly.

Claire... I have not done wall hangings, but this sounds like the same problem I had just recently on a quilt... I meandered the center area of the quilt but SITD the area around the center that was 3 borders. THe border areas all puckered and someone mentioned that it was due to a similar issue with the density of the meandering in the middle only. If I had meandered through the border areas instead of SITD, it wouldn't have puckered. So I guess consistancy is a key factor to any "quilted" item

You know that makes sense to me because I did a small wall hanging and I FM it quite close and this on I did a large meander with the flower pot and in the Dresden I FM it really close there needs to be a balance right I think that's what your saying I;m going to try that next time thanks for the tips Becca
