Default That Martelli Sale? Two problems!

So many of us were excited that Martelli was having that 50% off sale. And then we were excited that received our orders so quickly. But Preeti got left-handed cutters instead of right-handed. And I didn't do much better...

I opened my Zip Bind and Stitch-n-Ditch package today and Whoo-Boy-Howdy! First I put my training DVD into the DVD player. It played fine but it wasn't the training DVD, it was an explanation of all the tools Martelli sells. I pulled the DVD out of the player, and the label clearly said "Zip Bind Training DVD with Linda Winner," but the video that played was "The Ultimate Quilting DVD" with Dave Martelli. So I dashed off a note to Martelli telling them that their DVD is mis-labeled. No problem, I figured, because Linda Winner posts the training videos on YouTube.

I started to go through all the pieces of the system "with" Linda. We got to the Stitch-n-Ditch blister pack, and I realized that one of the blisters was completely empty. Oh, not just any blister, the one that should have had the main foot! So I dashed off a second note to Martelli.

I sure am glad that I have a quilt that needs binding, or I might not have opened this package for awhile!

Anyone else have any problems with your Martelli order?

Guess I'd better open the big box with my huge expensive mat, just in case. The smaller flat mat is working just fine.

I guess I better open the box I received and make sure it's the mat I ordered.

I ordered the 30x60 mat and a 10 pack of rotary blades. They both arrived, as ordered, yesterday afternoon. I'm a happy camper.

I actually haven't gotten my order yet and I placed it the night before the sale went live (discount code worked even though it was before the start time). Maybe I'm being punished for getting in on the sale early. Or maybe I had it delivered to work so DH wouldn't see the package come in and it's waiting for me there

I decided I better open my package. Good thing I did. I had ordered two rotary cutters, one for myself and one for my daughter, plus one five pack of blades. There was only one rotary cutter in the envelope.

I thank God every day for this forum and the wealth of knowledge and information I receive.

    I'm glad on two counts:

#1-It's good to know that so many orders arrived early and perfectly filled.

#2-I'm glad that some of us sharing our not-yet-perfect orders helped others to realize they also need to contact Martelli.

I know enough about Martelli to know that they'll fix any mistakes in their orders; they're a good, caring company. They're just taking Thanksgiving weekend off, and I don't blame them for taking a little vacation! I'll post an update to let you know how things go as they fix my order. Dollyquilts, Preeti, and Imanna--let us know how things go!

I had to do some digging to find their phone number and thought I would post it here. It's 1-850-433-1414. I really never had any doubt that they were a reputable company and would fix the problems. I'm sure they were swamped with orders because people wait all year for their great 50% off sales. I'm going to go open the mat package I received. I would have left it packaged and just wrapped it for my DD's Christmas present, but I might as well open it and make sure all is well. If it's not, I can kill two birds with one stone on Monday morning.

I'll let everyone know the results on Monday.

    Dolly
