Let me start out by saying that I did not go this year. About 12 years ago I asked my DH to go with me. It took a lot of convincing and bribing but he went. Flannel was $0.99 and I needed several yards for Christmas gift projects. DH stood in the cutting line while I picked out my fabric. He got so much attention from the other ladies in line, telling him how great he was and how they wish their husbands would do the same.

The next year, Joann's had the same sale and he asked me if I wanted to go again! We skipped that year but went a total of 3 times before he got sick. He passed away 7 years ago yesterday at only 55 years old. I smile whenever I think of Black Friday at Joann's.
