    Default Table legs shortened

Previously I sewed with my Janome on a card table which means I sit on a kitchen chair with a boat cushion for height.

Last night my husband cut three inches off the legs of said card table for me! He fussed a bit and said that the legs wouldn't be even. So I marked them with electrical tape and told him to cut at the bottom of the tape. It worked really well. He was correct in that the legs weren't all even, but I put a circle of cardboard in the bottom of the cap and shoved it back on the leg and all is well!!

Now I think I will have him do the same with the folding plastic table I have my Bernina on.

PS--no more boat cushion. But I may have to add some padding. That wooden chair is HARD!

I really hate it when the voices in my head argue among themselves as though I wasn't even in the room.

I tried to be normal once......worst two minutes of my life.

Ooooooh how I wish I could sit down and sew. The only safe available place in my house is on top of the buffet. So I sew standing up. It is better ergonomically for me too. It keeps all of it safely away from my young'ins. I remember those fond days of that hard chair. For years my mom had 2 sewing machines with all the bells and whistles and she took cinder blocks and placed them under a door that was off the hinges so her project table was huge. Then it also allowed her to place her plastic drawer bins under each end of the table which ended up being very organized.
