Barb, well I'll confess I've heard/read about it here on the Forum, but had no clue what it was! Now I've SEEN it, curious what the gals here use it for the most! :D
I do have one and bought it when I took a paper piecing class because the square end is 1/4" and it's easy to use to check your seams. I have since bought the silicone stiletto by Clover and I like it much better.
You'll love it! I use mine all the time. I used to us a skewer, but this is lots better.
I have one and use it often. It works great when I make pillowcase and need to push out the corners and the seams.
Love mine and you can still use it after you have sewn through it.....yup I did that alright, but only once.
I have one, too, that was given to me as part of a mug rug swap last year. Yes, I use it and like it a lot. Just don't push too hard with the pointy end or you will punch a hole in your fabric. I like to use a chop stick, too. Not quite so likely to pop through fabric. I know, I know, I should not let my mind wander while I am using pointy objects...
I have several. Seems like I lose them easily in my sewing room, so I can't say how I use them, since they are usually MIA.
Pat - I didn't know that about the 1/4" end!! I have one but never seem to use it cause I forget I have it. But I hear it's a great tool!
I'm like Jean, I have 2 of them ... someplace.
I like mine a lot. Great for turning applique, placemat corners and recently I have used it to turn Christmas decorations and poke out the corners and help stuff the filling into small areas like the point of a star.
I am like Jean and Karen--I have two of them. But because I have been trying to clean my sewing room at the present time I know where they both are. I am sure their status will soon go to "lost again."
