However, we have locals who sell stuff on Ebay like this - they go to thrift stores, garage sales, ask friends for any fabric, and put it up as a Charm pack. If that was what the seller did, you still deserve a refund, but it wasn't advertised as a brand or quality. That word MAY is a caveat of sorts.

Since you can't use it to quilt with, and if you can't return it, cut the charms up into 2 1/2 squares and maybe some HSTs. You can play with layout for a quilt pattern without sacrificing any of your "good" fabric. Also smaller pieces good to practice some stitching techniques.

Some none-traditional places are OK. Amazon does list brands, and if the seller is wrong, Amazon deals with it. Etsy probably well policed, too.

Thanks for the advice Alpha O - I will be more careful next time I know that. Some of the squares might be usable in some way or another but the rest are junk.
