Marilyn you are an amazing woman. I loved meeting you. I am so much in awe of the enthusiasm you have for your quilting charity. The children in the PICU are very lucky to have you cheering them on.

Any chance we can get Denis to open a Canuck Retreat Center??????????
Denis, are you paying attention????????????
(Nancy - I bought the same fabric for a quilt for Al - but I'm only doing a lap quilt. I am still in awe of what you accomplished while here - especially with all the trips to the shop for more fabric . . . )
Oh, and did you get your new stash safely hidden?
I enjoyed our time with you Nan... love your accent! That JJR is amazing. I agree with Marilyn, the pics do not do it justice. So glad you could attend and I hope you come again!
Shhhh Sandy. It is surprising how many charm packs you can get in your bra and if you wrap jelly rolls around your neck it looks like exotic jewellery. A good portion of my stash is being mailed so it kind of softens the blow a bit. Also if you use the words fabric, sale and Christmas in the same sentence it is surprising what you can get away with. LOL.
I did pull out a little bit of fabric last night then showed him a bit more this morning and I did carry my own suitcase so it didn't give me away. Ha Ha. I told him I didn't get the borders on because I was doing charity work while I was there so seriously, dont blow my cover.
Actually he and I share the same bank account so he really does know.
Kensington I so enjoyed meeting you. I wasn't sure about the red and black polka dot underwear on the first day with your Minnie ears but everything worked out just fine. I am already planning on next year. I can hardly wait to see how many quilts you'll have to show us by then.
I am seriously looking at ordering that Christmas material and I am not a big fan of seasonal quilts but your red and gold was one of the most beautiful combinations I have ever seen. See you next year.
Nan,
You know it really is like a bunch of family. You are a fun person. I so hope you are coming back next year! Someone suggested we do a six-month retreat so we don't have to wait a year. What a fun week. Shopping, eating, stitching, shopping, riding in convertibles, stitching, well you get the picture.
Nan so enjoyed spending time with you I can honestly say I love all my new sisters and brother. Can't wait until next time.
OK... I confess... I'm totally green with envy of you guys who could go on the retreat.... What a wonderful time you must have had.... Maybe next year..... Of course, that's what I said last year....... One can always hope...
Seriously.... I'm so glad the retreat was such a sucess..... Pictures, please!
Nancy, i loved meeting you and your quilt is stupendous. I enjoyed watching grow. Marilyn is right, the photo does not do it justice. Still trying to figure out why I didn't steal it when you weren't looking. Oh yeah, I'd have to leave all my purchases home to fit it in my luggage.
