Default I can die happy now.

Yesterday Jenny Doan was wandering around the retreat center and I asked her if she would sit down and sew with my machine. She said give her material to make a block. I cut twice and couldn't get the material cut right so Jenny cut the blocks for me, then sewed a 4 patch. She then she signed the block. I'm taking it home and framing it.

During the Hamilton Homecoming Parade the King and Queen were driven in a 1947 Cadillac Convertible that the gentleman driving it bought from J.C. Penney himself.

We had dinner at the Blue Sage (great food) and the gentleman was sitting at the next table and he came over and asked where we were all from. After talking for a few minutes, I asked him what I would have to do to get a ride in the car? He said he would come by on Saturday morning and take me for a ride. He came and I get to ride in J.C. Penney's car. (I'm a real car nut)

(If all the pieces fit perfectly, people will think it was made by a machine!) LOL

Bob was extremely giddy this morning after his car ride and he still hasn't stopped talking about it. Much like the proverbial kid in a candy store, he was so excited he could barely sit down.

He's had a great time at the retreat and we've all loved having him here. Of course he found the direct way into all our hearts with a full size bag of M&M's for each of us. He's got the female quilter down pat = give 'em chocolate and make 'em happy!

How cool is that?!! It sounds like people of Hamilton are a very friendly group. Happy to hear that you and the rest of the gang had such a great time.

How awesome for you, Bob. Between Jenny making you a block using your machine and then the car ride no wonder you are giddy with excitement. Enjoy the rest of your time there. Safe travels.

This sounds wonderful Bob! My husband is a car nut too. He would have loved to a least seen that car let alone get a ride in it! I'm so glad you are having a memory making party week!

Bob, I can feel your enthusiasm through the thread. What wonderful experiences you have had this week, I'm sure this is a trip you will never forget.

From Karen's report, it sounds like you know how to make the ladies all happy too!

That's a beauty! How nice of that gentleman to give you a ride. But then car collectors do love to show off their treasures, just like us quilters. You made his day better too!
