    Default Bamboo Sandwich

    Hi

I put toghether my sandwich with the Bamboo batting to night.

I can tell from the get go that this bamboo is a lot easier to work with than the poly batting I used before.
And it is so Much easier to get all the wrinkles out.

And loading it in the machine was a breeze compare to before.
Not at all so heavy and hard to move around

All in all , so far I am very pleased with this new to me batting!

Now all I have to do is decide how to quilt it!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

I've just posted this on the other thread:

I'm also waiting for your review, as there is a store here that carries it too. It is a little more expensive than the cotton batting, but it seems to be wider, so it might be interesting for larger quilts, if I ever attempt one. Would you machine quilt or hand quilt on that?
Like you, I've only used poly batting so far, as it is the cheapest and easiest to find anywhere. But now that I am more confident with my FMQ and hand quilting, I am eager to try new things.

I edit this post, as I forgot to tell you how much I admire your quilts!

I will keep you posted about my Bamboo journey! ;-)

So far I am loving all about it.
I am so glad that I choose to try it!

It is so much easier to work with compare to poly batting.

I love bamboo! I have quie a few bamboo garments and have often used bamboo knitting yarns. It is very pleasurable stuff to use and wear.

I haven't tried bamboo batting yet and I'm looking forward to hearing how you go with your quilting.

The only downside to bamboo is that it takes quite a while to dry.

I hand quilted a large quilt using bamboo batting. I love how the quilt turned out and it is so soft.

I hope you have a wonderful experience with the bamboo. You make lovely quilts.
