Default Hanging quilts... possibly strange idea

I'm making some Christmas panels to sell at an upcoming craft fair (my first one), and I was wondering if it would be weird to put grommets on the top corners to hang them with hooks instead of putting a sleeve on the back. Or instead of grommets perhaps make some small loops on the back so you could nail it to the wall and not damage it. I like the idea of grommets but I'm not sure how it would look. Has anyone here done it, or am I crazy for thinking of such a thing?

What if they don't want to hang them? Maybe they want to throw it over the back of a chair or onto a table top......I would pass on the grommets unless it was an advent calendar or something similar.

I have a small wallhanging in my bathroom, that I made a while back. I sewed 2 small plastic rings to the upper corners in the back and then made sure to hang the nails just a little tight to keep the quilt top stretched onto the wall. It is about 24 inches square and hangs nice and flat against the wall. Not the correct way, I guess......but it does work. All of the rest, I have put sleeves on. As you know better, you do better......has always been my mantra. I wouldn't put grommets on it.....ever. Just me.

When it hangs from a sleeve, the weight of the quilt is evenly distributed along the hole width. If you hang it from two corners alone, either the central part doesn't stay straight or if you pull it, it will end up stretching.

Negative on the grommets for the reasons mentioned...

Sew triangles to the back before binding and use a bar across the back.

Not getting much sewing done lately. #Parenting

I agree - no grommets. Not sure what will be available for you to hang the panels from, but an easy and removable way is by getting some curtain rings with clip bottoms and hanging them that way.

I agree no grommets. My question is how would you hang a wall hanging with an arched top?Like this one.

    Maybe clip-on curtain rings?
