I am so new to this forum. I am not even sure if I am adding this thread correctly! I just bought a longarm.I have been dreaming of owning one and I finally did it. Does anyone else have a Husqvarna Platinum 3000? I am waiting for its arrival!

Sandy Navas has a Husqvarna long arm. After some issues, they got it going, and her hubby has become the expert longarmer!

Cherie, WELCOME to the forum. Jean is correct - I have the Mega-Quilter though and the primary issue(s) with the machine have been total lack of support from the local (not so close) staff and their total lack of knowledge about the machine, the set up, and the ability to trouble-shoot. Great that I am married to an engineer.
Be warned. I am BORED.
This could be dangerous.
When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
They are usually 90 degrees.
A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
I hope that I will not have to much trouble. I am early in the game yet to experience this.I do find it is hard to find much info out there . I am hoping this forum will help me.I do have friends that have longarms though.
Hi Joan !!!! Thankyou![]()
I am hoping all will go well in setting the machine up. I spent the last week painting the room for this baby. I am hoping it will be put together by the weekend. I am excited!
Welcome to the forum Cherie! I have the same as Sandy - the MegaQuilter. I am still a very beginner on it, even though I have owned it for almost 2 years (there was a kitchen remodel in the middle of this time frame). Lots of youtube videos out there and also Craftsy classes.
If you are on facebook, there is a Beginner LongArm Quilters group that I am a member of - it is a "secret" group, so you can post photos of quilts you are working on and your regular fb friends won't see them - especially important if the quilt is a present!
