I've been meaning to treat myself for a couple of years, but still haven't....
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

I use mine nearly everyday and I use a size 11needle very small and it works great. I was told when I got mine to always use an oval eye needle. I use either Clover or John James needles.

I don't really enjoy the hand sewing but I couldn't do it at all without this clover threader. Like Jenny said," I know there's a hole there but..."

Well I am going to have to bring mine with me, and let you show me. I can hardly ever get it to work. DGD (the 7 yr old) has better luck than me, lol.

Auntieem, sometimes you have to put the threader on a hard surface like a table or wooden chair arm to work. It usually works even in my lap but once in awhile it doesn't catch and you have to press the lever a couple times. Are you sure you are putting the needle in eye-side down?

Uhhhh, yeah I am putting it in eye down. I'm blonde, and don't see all that great anymore...but I think I got that part down.

I got one and it never worked for me so I gave it to my GF.
I still use the needle threader with the little wire when I need it. But I've broken so many of them it's ridiculous!
My friends hear the song in my heart, and sing it to me when my memory fails. 

I found out about it not threading tiny needles the hard way.... I use size 12 betweens for everything... I just use those little metal threaders... The needle holes are so tiny, that I usually thread by feel.....
