I don't hand sew much, but I do sew my bindings by hand. Today I am binding and for some reason that darn thread just won't go into that little hole. It has nothing to do with my eyesight (nah, nope, never) but rather the thread is being mean. Then I remembered the Desk Threader. I bought this about 6 months ago and sort of misplaced it (anyone remember my husband and "cleaning up my sewing room" this summer while I was gone?) So, I took the time and found it. Out of the package and 2 seconds later . . , a threaded needle! It actually works. I LOVE it.
In the past, I bought a off brand threader. It didn't work, so I can only recommend the Clover brand.
A couple things to consider if you want to try this. It really only works with regular sized sewing needles with regular sized thread. It won't work with small, tiny needles, large embroidery thread or embroidery needles.
