I plan to install a design wall,. in new sewing/quilting room,. (o.k. old bedroom, just became my new sewing area).
So how thick does the foam/core board needs to be,. Its sold in: ( 3/4") (1") (1 1/2") (2") ,.
Its pink with black letters/symbols on it,.
Do you think that the pink or letters will show thru,. if so what else should I cove it with a sheet or another piece of flannel,.
I plan to cover it with gridded flannel fabric which is 57" wide and has a 2 x 2 grid,.(coloration: nat'l flannel with green grid),.
I was thinking of installing two of them side by side so my dimensions would be 8 x 8 which covers the whole wall,.
The gridded flannel is from Nancy's Notions,. and the foam board is from local hardware store, Menards.
I presently have a 72" x 72" felted design wall hanging,. from Keepsake Quilting,. but after I washed it,. it shrink some and its piled,.
I also purchased the Fons & Porter,. design wall,. which basically is a flannel back tablecloth with grid,. but flimsy,.
I would also like to pin project ideas to the design wall,. Thanks for any ideas.
