Re: Question; Does size matter???
There are bed quilts and people quilts, all necessary. A crib quilt for a baby is fine, I also like to make them so the WOF is wide enough for backing, but a baby grows up and you need to make a larger size quilt for them. Teens like lap quilts about 60 x 70 for wrapping themselves in on the couch, bed and also when sleeping over a friends. The 60 X 70 is also great for adults to snuggle with. Queen size takes a longer time and more fabric (and dollars) and I make them for special gifts. Right now working on a queen as an engagement gift for one of our DGD's and her finacee. This one I send out to be quilted as I can't handle quilting it myself.
