    I like the variegated thread. I like the way the butterflies drift in and out of focus as the thread color changes against the background. Your FMQ skills are looking good.

    I like the 2nd picture (the variegated thread). It shows up, but not too much. I know that this is a new quilting pattern for you and the variegated thread blends more and will help hide any imperfections in your stitching. It's going to be a lovely quilt.

    Aaand another vote for variegated, for the reasons mentioned before me (softer look, blends better, hids imperfections, etc.).
