Thumbs up I am so lucky

I cannot believe how lucky I am. In a very passing conversation I mentioned that the Forum group were having a Retreat in Hamilton, Missouri. My hubby said, so are you going? and of course I said no. This morning he brought it up again. I thought for sure I was too late but my husband egged me on and said why don't you just try and see if you can still get in. Well, I did and I'm going to the Forum Retreat in 2 weeks.

He said he'd come and make it a holiday so I agreed. I was feeling a bit bad because it looks like there are lots of activities available for us to participate in if we want (and I want) and then I'm thinking, gee I will be leaving him alone in the hotel and I will be feeling guilty but Ii really want to take advantage of every minute in Hamilton. Any way he came home tonight and said his boss at work (a very part time post retirement job) wants him to take on a bigger role and so he wont be able to go. So I am going alone. I still feel a bit bad but now I wont feel guilty.

    I am one lucky lady

You will have to buy plenty of fabric for him and take it back to him.

The definition of lucky is ..... "preparation meets opportunity". You have prepared well with the things you have done prior to now; with your sewing, you joined a great forum, you know a quality retreat when you see it and you married well. Opportunity for the retreat has presented its self on this forum by the hard work of its great planners.

Have a wonderful time!!!!! We would all love to be in your suitcase!! Enjoy and please let us all know how it goes. I was in Hamilton earlier this year and used up all of my Hamilton Travel allotment time for the year before I realized I could have put it off and come to the retreat. Hopefully I can do it another time. It sounds absolutely wonderful. Good for you .... you prepared gal!

Thanks Debbie. I wish you were coming too but I promise to have some fun for everyone. I may have prepared Dave but he is an awesome husband. He already has taken me to Paducah when we went to Florida in May. I can tell you I am much better prepared this time than I was for Hancock's. It took my breath away and I wandered in a daze.
