Try remembering....... snow is white unless you have dogs in the neighborhood, then it can get a slightly yellow tinge. Snow fabric when put next to a true white has that yellowish hue...... just a thought.

I understand all too well...quilting kept me sane while raising four children who were teens all at the same time! This may sound crazy but enjoy this time as you make memories. Those kids grow up so doggone fast! Here's hoping your machine is ready tomorrow!

Karen was right on the mark, Bella is a yellow cream. When I was at MS* one of the guys in the shop said to remember it this way - Bella is yella. So now I remember to buy Kona

I don't know how you have the energy to sew after the kids are in bed. By the time my two went to bed I was so exhausted I've often be asleep on the sofa at 8 p.m. I can't imagine how you do it with such a large crew! Too bad about the fabric but try not to stress over it. It's not worth it. In the end you'll find another use for that fabric. It won't go to waste. Yes, buying certain fabrics online can be a problem, especially when trying to match to other fabrics. Dye lots can be slightly different. For example, I have two pieces of fabric that are gray with white polka dots. They were ordered at different times from the same vendor, same fabric listed on the site. The dye lots were obviously slightly different. However, so different that I couldn't use them in the same project. I have found another use for the second piece so it hasn't gone to waste. Don't feel bad about yourself. We've all had this problem. It's the nature of the beast.

Can I blame 4 kids under 7 driving me nuts while 7 months pregnant with #5? AND A SEWING MACHINE IN THE SHOP FOR 2 WEEKS!!!!! My brains cells are just drying up- I can hear it.

    Sorry everyone, just ignore me.

(BTW- hopefully I get my machine tomorrow)
Sorry, but your post made me smile....it brings back many memories for me. Some very good & very sweet, some not so good, and some absolutely CRAZY!!! I had four boys within 5 yrs! Their bdays are 12/8/81, 12/8/82, 12/13/83 and 8/24/86.....our "boys" are now 32, 31, 30 and 28. I said 4 was enough and I obviously was NOT going to have a girl! LOL You will survive....it will be hard at times and pure joy at times too. Many days will be just a blur. I had many days that all I could do was make sure everyone was fed, changed, attempted laundry and that I didn't lose anyone!!! Congrats on the new baby whenever he/she arrives!

You gals are sew kind. Thank you for understanding and your thoughtful words.

Got the call last night, today is the day. I get my machine back in 5 hours, AND my husband has today off- which means leftovers for dinner and Mommy is sewing into the midnight hour!!

I realize that snow isn't "white- white", but this is most definitely cream. I am in the middle of trying to find some other samples of snow to see if I am just losing my mind. But right now I can't. I called and they said that if it's labeled snow- it's snow, and maybe it's just a change of dye lots. I really don't think it's snow- but I can't prove it.

So now I am stuck with yardage that I really don't like. I guess this is one of the drawbacks of ordering on-line. So if they didn't make a mistake- and the snow I have is the real thing- I don't really have a right to return it. It's what I ordered. I don't feel right returning something, especially yardage, when they didn't make a mistake- or I can't prove it otherwise.

I realize this is a small thing, but I work on a very tight budget, so I am frustrated at myself and the situation.

    Thanks for listening.
The same thing happened to me. Needless to say, I haven't used it yet.
