I'm 34 and not a big fan of hanging quilts on walls in my house. I've seen them in other peoples houses and they look great. Maybe I just haven't found a pattern that would go with my decor yet, but I'm still not sure I would hang it up. I make quilts to be used and loved, not just looked at from a distance. I made my daughters kindergarten teacher a handprint quilt with all the kids hand prints on it, it was awesome. When she opened it up the teacher in the classroom next door said she needed to get a thing to hang the quilt on the wall and I immediately said no, she needed to use it. But that's just my opinion, if you want to hang a quilt on the wall then do it, who cares what other people think, it's your house!
PS- maybe my quilts just have too many mistakes and imperfections that I don't want to display them. You don't notice all the imperfections when they are crumpled up on the couch keeping someone warm!
